Fukuoka City Ranked Most Desirable Place to Live in Japan

Real estate and construction giant Daito Trust Construction conducted its first nationwide survey of where people would like to live in Japan, and Fukuoka City topped the list. The city received high marks for being compact and livable and having goods that were more reasonably priced than other major cities. According to the analysis conducted by Daito Trust Construction, Fukuoka City took the top spot primarily because “although there are cities all over the country with good living environments and entertainment options, Fukuoka is recognized by many people to have these attributes, and these have been packaged into a comprehensive brand.” Meanwhile, Yokohama City and Naha City ranked second and third, respectively.
